NetMotion Software Expands Leadership Team with Appointment of Joel Windels as VP Marketing
Company extends global footprint with new Canadian headquarters.
Seattle, WA – October 24, 2018 – NetMotion® Software, the leader in mobile performance management and pioneer in operational intelligence for enterprise mobility, today announced the expansion of its executive team with the appointment of Joel Windels as Vice President of Global Marketing.
Also announced is the company’s fourth international headquarters, opening in Victoria, B.C., Canada. This location will house a skilled development team focused on the expansive features within NetMotion’s Operational Intelligence products. The company’s Operational Intelligence Platform for Enterprise Mobility gives organizations visibility across networks, devices and applications, it also gives them the power to monitor, alert and dynamically solve mobile issues using real-time data and analytics.
Windels was previously VP of Global Marketing at Wandera, a mobile security firm based in London and San Francisco, that successfully raised over $50M in venture capital. Under his leadership, Wandera’s marketing team expanded into a global force that delivered triple digit year-over-year growth in both 2016 and 2017.
Prior to Wandera, Windels was a marketing VP at social analytics company Brandwatch, which recently announced its $100M ARR merger with Crimson Hexagon. At Brandwatch, he was influential in growing the business from a small but promising startup to a household Martech leader with more than 350 employees.
“Joel is a seasoned marketing leader with an impressive track record of success in global channel development and inbound marketing. His background in enterprise mobility will be instrumental to help us grow our market share and business in North America and abroad. Adding Joel to our leadership team, coupled with the opening of our new office in Victoria, truly enhances our ability to build global awareness and market share.”
CEO, NetMotion Software
As NetMotion’s VP of Global Marketing, Windels is tasked with nurturing and growing a world-class marketing team that can help put NetMotion on the global stage. His extensive work in European markets will help internationalize the company, and bring a broader outlook across the NetMotion leadership team. The Carlyle Group-backed technology firm will be leaning on Windels’ experience in fast-growth environments to accelerate demand generation and forge a new strategic direction for the company as it continues to expand into the operational intelligence B2B space.
He will be based in the new Victoria location, along with five additional team members. This new North American location augments NetMotion’s existing U.S., European and Japanese headquarters.
“NetMotion has been doing some genuinely brilliant things in mobility for some time now, but it didn’t take long for me to realize there was a huge amount of potential too. It’s exciting to hear how bullish the leadership team is about what we can achieve in the coming years, and I’m confident that we have the ambition, the know-how and the firepower to make that a reality.”
