Careers

There are a lot of software companies, but not many quite like NetMotion.

There are a lot of software companies, but not many quite like NetMotion.

Not your average tech company

We’re very proud that customers love our products and we’ve got some world class metrics to prove it: an NPS of 91 and a customer renewal rate of 97%. We’re much prouder of our people though, and they seem to like it here even more than our customers do. In 2019, only a tiny fraction (2%) left the company and always on good terms – usually to pursue a lifelong dream or move overseas.

It’s a tech company cliché, but we are a little like a family. Don’t just take it from us, take it from the employees that shared their anonymous feedback on the company direction in early 2020 (it was nearly all like this, we promise!)

I love my job and my company. I really, really appreciate that it was made clear that we always do right by the customer. That means a lot to me, to continue to treat our customers well. I love working at an ethical, considerate company. Doing clean, honest business is important to me and that is one of the main reasons why I thrive here.

Company events

There are all kinds of meetups and events that happen in and around NetMotion, from happy hours to sports games. Different teams and departments also meet up regularly, inside one of our offices in the US, Canada, the UK, Germany and Japan or somewhere further afield. One of these events is our annual sales kick-off, which takes place in a different location each year.

Perks of working at NetMotion

A killer culture with happy, trusting workers and minimal workplace politics

Reliable, innovative products that customers love. NetMotion makes a meaningful difference to life-saving first responders all around the world.

Food and drink galore. That includes free snacks in our company offices, birthday cakes on your special day, free breakfasts on Fridays and the occasional take-out paid for by the company.

A monthly tea-time event in some of our offices, with different regional flavors, cultural exchanges and employee-run feasts held during the afternoon.

For US employees, we offer a competitive 401k plan to help you prepare for the future. Americans can also take advantage of medical, dental and vision benefits.

Unlimited paid vacation time means that you can choose the holiday hours that suit your lifestyle.  There should be plenty of time for adventuring – or relaxing. Your call.

Depending on your location, we have a range of fitness benefits that pay you back for investing in yourself.

Commuter benefits. Take the bus or drive yourself – up to you. We offer a commuting stipend to employees working from our Seattle HQ.

Seasonal events and celebrations, such as Summer activities, Halloween parties and sports jersey days.

Optional lunch and learns to foster your interest in new, interesting and challenging ideas from your peers … with free pizza to keep you focused.

Flexible working hours. We know life can be unpredictable and that the traditional 9-5 is no longer an ideal situation for many. We have a liberal attitude to schedules and office hours that means you can focus on getting your work done in the way that suits you best.

Company events are a regular and fun part of life at NetMotion. That includes optional days out to baseball, hockey or soccer games, as well as social activities like hiking, gaming and – you guessed it – enjoying a few drinks.

Community and giving back are a very important part of our DNA. We embrace a countless number of ways to try to do more for the wider community, such as working in food banks, company donation incentives and carbon offsetting for flights.

Diversity in the workplace is something we take very seriously, and in some departments and locations have managed to strike a great balance. Like many software companies, however, we’re aware that we have an awful lot of work to do to get to where we would like to be.
