Puget Sound Blood Center Finds Uninterrupted Connectivity with Mobility
There are many mobility management solutions available today, and we know that our customers have options. That’s why it is so rewarding to hear why customers choose NetMotion. Recently, the Puget Sound Blood Center (PSBC) shared why it chose Mobility over a competitive solution from Citrix.
Puget Sound Blood Center operates 14 mobile blood drive units that scour the Seattle metropolitan area for life-saving blood donations. When donors step up, PSBC workers must access the organization’s databases to approve the donor and determine if the donation can be accepted. Dependable, uninterrupted connectivity is a must. A lost connection means having to log back in and start the process all over again wasting time better spent collecting precious pints of blood.
PSBC tested two of the market’s most popular mobile management solutions NetMotion Mobility® and a solution from Citrix. The organization noted an increasing number of complaints from employees using the Citrix solution. Specifically, laptops would disconnect from one of the organization’s central, shared Mac drives. Mobility users experienced no such issue, while enjoying a secure and reliable mobile VPN. Even in cellular or Wi-Fi dead zones, Mobility will temporarily pause any active mobile applications rather than disconnect them; the application automatically resumes when cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity resumes.
In the end, PSBC adopted the more dependable Mobility across its enterprise.
